Bio: I tend to dream up stories while either laying in bed at night or sitting at my desk at work. It's exciting to watch a story unfold, especially when my characters say or do something unexpected!
When I'm not busy chasing my hunky, yet elusive and smart-aleck muse, I enjoy spending time with my family, reading, and movies.
How many book/s have you written?: I've written several, with two in publication
Please share with us your book titles: My titles are KATA SUTRA, a contemporary action/romance that is currently on the bestseller list at Siren publishing, and THEIR SECRET PARADISE, a paranormal island romance I hope to turn into a series.
What genre/s would you like to write in?: I have written a lot of genres, and would like to try sci-fi sometime
Please share with us who or what encourages you to write and why?: What encourages me to write is a good kick in the seat, or sometimes I'll see a call for submissions that hits me just right (write? heh) and I'll be off and running. Last week I wrote a 30k novella in 4 days to get in at the last minute of a submissions call. Another good kick start are writing challenges like the annual novel challenge NaNoWriMo.
How long did it take for you to write your book/s?: It has taken me anywhere from four days to eighteen months to draft my novels.
How long did it take for you to publish your book/s?: My first fiction was published a few years after I started writing.
Who did you publish with and why?: I am proud to say I'm published with Siren-Bookstrand and Eternal Press. These are absolutely wonderful pubs who have encouraged me and taught me a whole lot about making my writing shine--both before publication and in promotion.
Please share with us how you prefer to market your book/s?: I confess I'm in love with online marketing. It's so great to hop on Facebook, Twitter, or the Yahoo groups and be in instant touch with readers and authors, rather than having to wait for a "live" book tour to shmooze about books!
Please share with us any event/s that you have planned in marketing your book/s: I will be attending numerous Yahoo chats for my publishers and as a guest author, and I'm also investigating throwing a facebook party.
